Far Out Galaxy Nails

Ready for some really cool nails? I dunno what made me do galaxy nails, I've never done them and decided to try. For some reason I always thought these were really complicated and took a lot of time to do. Dude, totally the opposite.

I followed THIS post by Rebecca. I think anytime I link to a tutorial on here, it's been by Rebecca, but I love her blog and her tutorials are easy to follow. Funny thing is, it's not even a tutorial, but she did post step-by-step pictures.

I only had a few of the polishes she used, so I used substitutions and made a few changes to them too. I shoulda watched the video she linked to, but guess what? Yea, it was late and I was going somewhere the next day. Story of my blog right?

These are easy to do but use a lottttt of polishes. I used:
Wet N' Wild Wild Shine - Black Creme
Wet N' Wild Wild Shine - French White Creme
Wet N' Wild Chrome - Precious Petals
Hard Candy - Beetle
Klean Color - Pastel Blue
Santee - Opal Speckle
Klean Color - Chunky Holo Fuschia
Sally Hansen - Hidden Treasure

Bonus outfit pic time:
If my dear cousin Becca is reading this, I only have two words for you: SPICY LIME! :p
Good pizza spot + family time + actin a fool at Walmart with the cousin = a good day indeed.

Mannequin Nails With Santee

Here's a palette cleanser for you guys after those candy coated Sanrio inspired nails.

I originally planned on doing an Ikat pattern over this, but liked how it looked. I think this Santee polish is a good match to do the Mannequin look. Added the glitter just for some extra flair.

As you can see, this was taken indoors. At Target. :]

I used:
Santee - Light Nude
Santee - Opal Speckle

I think these kinds of nails are called palette cleansers, right? Stuck these in between two wild looks, because my next nails will be the return of cool awesome nail art!

Little Twin Stars Twins

Hey guys! I tried out my first jelly sandwich, inspired by Nouveau Cheap's My Little Twin Stars manicure. I fell in love with her nails when I first saw that post and knew I wanted to recreate it except I didn't have any of her polishes, or even any that came close.

Until last week, I was at Walmart and lo and behold they have a big new Sinful Colors display up. AND IT HAD CINDERELLA IN IT! I've looked for it since it came out. Along with Cinderella, I picked up Glass Pink, which looks like her pink sister, and Gorgeous. You guys coulda guessed that I wouldn't have just bought 1 right? ;]

I used:
Sinful Colors - Cinderella
Sinful Colors - Glass Pink
Santee - Moon Light Glitter
Love & Beauty - Bubblegum

TIP: If you're using a shape glitter with stars or hearts or something, here's a trick I learned doing these nails. Use the polish brush to grab the stars and a toothpick to fish it out and apply on your nail. If you need more stars, close your bottle of polish and shake it, then turn it upside down and shake it again. When you open it up, there should be more stars on the brush to fish out.

TRUST ME. This way is easier. It was taking me so long to get stars, I thought by the time I'd be done the iPhone 10s would be out and dinosaurs would somehow have come back. Just be careful to not let go of the bottle when you're shaking it, cause it will fly out of your hands. And if you're like me, you will do these at 2am and your mom will comment that it was so loud it sounded like a bomb. Indeed.

Have any of you ever tried out a jelly sandwich? I'm excited to try more!

I Said You Get No Love.

NEW YOUTUBE VID GUYS!

Yeah. I'm really excited, it's been awhile. And this freestyle uses the beat to one of my favorite songs, Eminem ft. Lil Wayne - No Love.

Please comment, subscribe, and share!

Now yall know I had to have done matching nail art for the dress I wore in this, right?

My favorite was my right thumb, I think it looked the most simple and the most like my dress.

I used:
Wet N' Wild Wild Shine - French White Creme
Wet N' Wild Wild Shine - Black Creme
Sinful Colors - Bianca
Sinful Colors - Irish Green
Sally Hansen - Brisk Blue

Blurry pic of the ring I had on.
Now, I mustache you a question: did ya like the freestyle?

Black & Pink Hearts aka Stamping With Wet N' Wild - Precious Petals Part Deux

Whew! Can that title get any longer? A funny thing happened here on my blog. Several months ago, I posted some super simple nails called Stamping With Wet N' Wild - Precious Petals to show that it can be used with stamping plates.
Then that post became one of the most popular posts here on my blog, due to people googling to find out if Wet N' Wild Chrome polishes work with stamping.

So I bring to you today, Part Deux of the project, with what I hope are better pictures. These happen to be my Katy Perry movie day nails, inspired by my tee I wore that day.

DISCLAIMER: The hearts showed up on black but not as bold as I wanted them to be, so I stamped over them again.

I used:
Wet N' Wild Wild Shine - Black Creme
Wet N' Wild Chrome - Precious Petals
Konad m42

So yea, Precious Petals works on darker colors too, though you might wanna stamp twice to get it to really pop. If you can still get your hands on any of the Chrome polishes, I recommend them. I love this color on it's own as much as I love it for stamping.

Part Of Me

When we last left off here at Miss DeVious DiVa, I mentioned going to the movies. Did you guess the movie we went to? If you guessed Katy Perry: Part Of Me 3D, then you're right! (Yea... these pictures are a few weeks old).

If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you might've seen me mention my music favorites in a couple posts: the hip hop supergroup Slaughterhouse. #LadiesLoveLyrics
So when it comes to music documentaries that have come out recently, Ice-T's hip hop documentary "Something From Nothing: The Art Of Rap" is right up my alley. I'd be fascinated hearing emcees discuss rap and their bars and how they structure their songs. FASCINATED. Everyone else I know? Not so much.
Alrighty then, so off we went to see Katy Perry. All that said, trust that this is a completely unbiased review: it was good!

Really, it was fun. The concert parts showed her doing all her hits, and the documentary parts were interesting. I gotta give her credit for including scenes that showed such personal moments of her life. It was actually inspiring.

Oh and I popped my 3D movie cherry with Katy. And I liked it. ;] (if you've seen the movie, you'll know that there was no other way for me to word that.)

After the movie we messed around taking pictures. I climbed on a fountain.

And at first I was kind of embarrassed till my cousin reminded me we have to be fun and wild like Katy Perry. So I was like "WHOOOOO KATY PERRY!!!!"
Then she took a pic that looked pretty rad on my camera:
Till I uploaded it to my computer and realized what is UP with my eye? Since everything else looked good, I covered it with a heart. Any problem in life can be covered up with a heart. FACT.

I'm SUCH a f'n hipster.

Tomorrow I'll post the nails I did for this day. I think I've figured out Blogger's post scheduling feature so they *should* post tomorrow. They get their own post because there's some stamp testing involved!
